Superstition Mountain Desert Flying – October 22-24, 2010
Getting people interested in the Fall/Winter Desert flying series.
Please bookmark this page for future reference.
Our first desert trip of the Fall is almost here. The weather outlook is pretty good right now. Temps are dropping over the next 10 days; it should be around 90 for the high, about 60 overnight. The winds have been quite calm (~5 mph) so we should have just enough breeze to stay "cool". We'll continue to monitor the weather and adjust as necessary. http://www.weather.com/weather/extended/USCA0332

The stars are lining up for a perfect trip - we'll have a full moon Friday night so night flying should be easier for the first time darkness pilots. We'll also have spotlights for those people that haven't added full lighting. We also will have good movies for the evening show. A few of us will be heading out Friday morning. You can refer to my website for info on the site and driving directions on how to get there. http://thelukens.net/airplanes/Desert_Fly.htm
More details to follow but get this on your calendars now!
