DAY 2: Trail Camp to Mt. Whitney - 11 miles, 12,400 ft. - 14,500 ft. - 12,400

Early departure for the peak (6:00 AM)

DAY 3: Trail Camp to Whitney Portal (6.75 miles, 12,400 ft. to 8400ft. / -4000 ft.)

The trail down from Trail Camp was full of beautiful meadows, lakes and streams.
47 pound pack, 3 days, 24.5 miles, 21½ hours hiking, 6100 ft vertical climb from 8,400 ft to 14,500 ft. to get to the highest point in the contiguous 48 states.
