In March of 2009 Sonia and I had the pleasure of traveling to Italy for 7 days. We visited Venice, Florence, Assisi and Rome. We traveled with Larry, Lelia Beth and Amelia, George Stiehl, Amelia’s friend Nicole Wilke and H.S. art teacher Sandra Fry. The trip was organized by EF Tours. We flew from New York to Milan where we boarded our bus which drove us to all of the destinations for the week. We spent the first full day in Venice. The next day we drove to Florence where we spent 1 1/2 days touring the city. The next day we left for Assisi and spent half a day there exploring the Franciscan’s church, and the medieval fortress and town. Next stop was Rome. We spent 1 1/2 days visiting the major historical sites and museums. And then off to the Rome airport for the return flight. The pictures in my galleries are selected from those taken by our travel group and give a nice glimpse into the things we saw.
